Exclusive Specimen Carp Fishing Syndicate in the Heart of Suffolk
Located in the peaceful Suffolk countryside, The Barham Lakes is a mature private angling complex offering specimen carp and pike fishing in an attractive and carefully managed setting.
The complex has more than 31 acres of water across four lakes, surrounded by mature trees, reeds, islands, intricate bays and gravel bars. More than three kilometres of otter fencing helps protect the venue and its valuable fish stocks.
Birds Tackle is pleased to promote this outstanding local fishery and help anglers prepare with suitable carp, pike and fish-care equipment.
Specimen Fishing at The Barham Lakes
The Barham Lakes provides fishing for specimen carp and pike, with carp reported at weights approaching 50lb.
The lakes have benefited from extensive improvements, including landscaping, repairs and the introduction of carefully selected UK-bred fish.
The syndicate lakes contain more than 400 carp, including numerous fish weighing over 30lb and several exceeding 40lb.

The private Barham Lakes syndicate covers three specimen carp and pike lakes:

Membership numbers are intentionally limited to provide anglers with greater access to productive swims and a quieter fishing experience.
The syndicate season runs from the first weekend in April until the end of March the following year. Membership applications and availability are managed directly by The Barham Lakes.

Brook Pool Exclusive Lake Hire
Brook Pool is an attractive eight-acre, tree-and-reed-lined gravel pit available for exclusive carp lake bookings.
The lake contains approximately 150 carp, with known fish into the upper 30lb range. Its varied underwater features include an island, bars and depths reaching approximately 16 feet.
Exclusive bookings include access to the lakeside lodge, providing facilities for groups enjoying a dedicated fishing trip.

Specimen carp and pike require careful handling and the correct fish-care equipment.
Before fishing, anglers should confirm the venue’s current requirements and ensure they carry:
A suitably sized landing net
A large padded unhooking mat or cradle
A secure weigh sling
Carp-care treatment
Appropriate weighing equipment
Safe rigs and suitable mainline
Correct predator traces and unhooking tools when pike fishing
