Carp weighing more than 20lb and 30lb are regularly present, with the lake holding fish up to approximately 40lb. It offers 34 well-spaced swims, including sociable and double-swim options.
The lake also holds tench, bream and roach. Seasonal pike fishing is available under separate rules.
The Big Lake can be challenging, making suitable tackle, strong line, dependable terminal equipment and careful watercraft particularly important.

Traditional Lake
The Traditional Lake provides another option for carp and coarse anglers, with day, overnight and 24-hour fishing available.
Junior anglers aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Anglers should check the latest ticket prices, rules and availability directly with the fishery before travelling.
Pleasure and Match Fishing
Suffolk Waterpark has three waters available for pleasure fishing:
Match Lake 1
Match Lake 2
The Canal
Match Lake 1 is known as an enjoyable runs water containing double-figure carp, silver fish and specimen perch.
Match Lake 2 is predominantly a silver-fish lake containing good bream, specimen perch and a smaller stock of attractive dark carp.
The Canal has ten pegs and provides relaxed one-rod fishing.
These waters offer spacious platforms, nearby parking and a relaxed atmosphere. They are also used for organised matches, so anglers should check availability before visiting.
