Fishing at Stonham Barns
The varied stocking makes Stonham Barns an appealing venue for several methods and experience levels. Depending on the conditions and your target species, effective approaches may include:
Pole fishing with pellets, maggots or corn
Method-feeder fishing for carp and F1s
Traditional float fishing for mixed silverfish
Margin fishing later in the session
Light feeder tactics for bream and tench
Regular over-60s matches are held on Fridays, alongside other scheduled events. Anglers should check lake availability before travelling because matches can affect access to individual pegs.
Day Tickets and Visiting Information
Day tickets are available for pleasure anglers. Current prices, match dates and availability should always be confirmed directly with the fishery before travelling.
Fishing is normally permitted from 7am until dusk. Night fishing is not permitted on the two match and pleasure lakes.
All anglers must read the fishery’s current rules before starting. Important requirements include barbless hooks, appropriate landing nets and an unhooking mat. Separate keepnets are required when keepnets are being used, and some baits and rigs are prohibited.
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
