This is the perfect choice for anyone who prefers to use a monofilament leader, or where braided ones are banned and you have no other choice when fishing at long range. Attaching a thick mono leader to your main line creates a bulky knot, which not only reduces casting distance, but also makes it prone to crack-offs, due to the differing diameters and stiffness of the two lines that you are joining, and the way they travel through the rod rings. The SUBline Tapered Leaders prevent any of these problems, as at one end they are the same diameter - and breaking strain - as the main line that you will be using for your long range fishing. The leader tapers taper up to 40lb at the thicker end, which will take the brunt of even the hardest cast, whilst also offering a bit of stretch when you have a fish under the rod tip. They are 12m long, so you can cut them back to suit your requirements. Three different versions of the SUBline Tapered Leaders are available and you get five on a spool: 8lb to 40lb; 10lb to 40lb; and 12lb to 40lb.
