This rod has been extensively tested and refined to Terry's exacting standards.
Added to the existing range of 12’ 9” models at Terry’s request for a lighter 12’ rod for smaller venues. The three new 12’ Terry Hearns are available in Classic 3.0lb (40mm ringing), Classic 3.25lb (50mm) and Distance 3.50lb (50mm).
This range offers something for everyone where a conventional 12’ rod is required. Produced in the latest ultra-high modulus carbon with a tough woven satin finish. Across the three test curves these rods have a forward action with superb fish playing response and tactile feedback for “feeling the drop”.
The 3lb model has an optimum casting weight of 2.5oz and with a correctly balanced set up is capable of achieving distances of 100m+ while the most powerful 3.5 lb model works best for maximum distance with a 4oz lead and has achieved distances of over 150m in testing. The Distance model features ultra-fast tip speed for rapid compression and recovery to help maximise casting performance.
The rods feature perfectly positioned SiC guides, with single leg intermediates to reduce weight and improve action and balance.
The build stays faithful to the 12’ 9” models with an optimum length hard grade EVA handle, DPS reel seat, smooth moulded ESP line clip, the signature ruby red tippet whipping and engraved stainless butt cap.. and of course the logo artwork is still discreetly placed on the underside of the blank.

If the parcel is returned to us after failed delivery attempts, a £10 fee will be deducted from your refund. This covers both the original shipping and return postage.
