Evolution of an Icon: The Halo Nightlight
During an international business flight, Edwin, founder of NDS, was inspired by the subtle yet functional Halo light design embedded in the remote control of the seatback screen. Captivated by its elegance, he introduced the Halo nightlight element into the K9 bite alarm launched in 2015. This feature has since become a signature design of the NDS family, blending aesthetics with functionality across generations.
In the new K15 model, NDS has elevated the Halo nightlight with enhanced versatility—offering adjustable brightness and customizable colours. A soft halo glow now surrounds the alarm, while twin multi-colour LED indicators can be assigned unique colours for each fishing rod. Whether by day or night, anglers can instantly identify which alarm is activated.

Intelligent Sensitivity: Never Miss a Real Take
With its advanced intelligent sensitivity, the K15 effortlessly filters out false triggers caused by wind or minor disturbances. It focuses solely on what matters—detecting genuine bites from carp. When a true take occurs, the K15 responds instantly with a sharp, urgent alarm, ensuring you’re always alert to the action.

When a intelligent sensitivity level is active (e.g., Level 3 triggers at 16mm roller movement), a bite alert sounds. If the sensor detects four consecutive 4mm movements within one second, the system switches to continuous alert mode.This mode persists until movement events drop below the 4mm×4/1s threshold,after which normal monitoring resumes.
The Intelligent Sensitivity feature is exclusively available from Level 3 onward (Levels 3-9). Levels 0-2 operate solely on standard bite etection thresholds without intelligent continuous monitoring capabilities.

Action group: double-press Night Mode
Using the app, you can customize multiple commands and assign them to any of the four buttons on the R15. With just a double-press, you can execute a set of commands simultaneously. For example, you can assign the command to turn on the halo light for all four K15 bite alarms to a single button. This allows you to activate the halo lights on all your K15 bite alarms with a simple double-press.
