Merino wool is a great material to make socks from as it not only helps to regulate body heat so as to help prevent sweating, but also wicks moisture away from the skin if you do sweat at all. This Merino blend material traps pockets of air which will help keep your feet warm in even the harshest of conditions, plus they have the advantage that even if they become damp they still maintain their insulating qualities, which is ideal when you are out on the bank in all weathers and if your footwear leaks at all. The material also has anti-bacterial properties. The toes and heels are shaped such that the socks will stay in place on your feet and they come far enough above your ankle that your trousers won’t ride up above the top of them. They come in a choice of black or olive, and in size UK 7-9 or UK 10-12.
